James Wake Memorial Lecture, Institute for Palliative and End of Life Care, Marquette University, College of Nursing

Join the author and the Marquette University Community for an intimate discussion on caring for a loved one with a serious or end-of-life disease. The author will read excerpts from her book: When a Loved One Is Dying: Conversations About Care, Connection and Coping (Johns Hopkins University Press, 2026). Maureen uses storytelling to offer expert guidance and practical advice to families navigating the end-of-life experience. She will facilitate a discussion on advanced medical decision making, palliative care and hospice. The event includes time for questions/answers and a book signing.
